The SSGR04-OS is a set screw gauge reducer. Sold as pairs, these satin nickel gauge reducers accept one 1/0 gauge wire and step down to a 4 gauge size stud. The 1/0 gauge is secured by an Allen set screw. New Offset design allows our gauge reducer to fit more applications.

How is wire secured to this terminal?

Unscrew the allen screw from the terminal; strip the jacket off of the cable; insert the bare wire into the terminal; tighten the set screw into the terminal, compressing the bare strands of the cable.
Is there a difference between this and a 1/0 gauge reducer?

0 gauge and 1/0 gauge are the same thing. 1/0 (one aught) literally means one 0 gauge and written as 1/0. The next step larger would be double aught (2/0). The next smaller in the American Wire Gauge chart would then be 1 gauge.
