KnuKonceptz has redefined Ultimate to bring an even more versatile battery terminal to market. The Ultimate Battery Terminal UBT-20 offers symmetrical application of our popular Top Post and Vertical Top Post adapters. Installers can now easily manipulate any factory battery application with screw ports on both left and right side of the terminal.

The UBT-20 also holds a variety of cable sizes by set screws and the two ring terminal ports. Each UBT-20 accepts one each 1/0 and 4 gauge wire. These two set screws are accessible from the bottom of the terminal, even after the insulated color coded cover is in place. The ring terminal ports can hold any gauge cable via the 8mm stud or attach one of our Top Post adapters for easy OEM integration.

Like all automotive battery terminals, the UBT-20 is made to SAE specifications, which means that the positive and negative terminals are machined to different diameters. This is a reverse polarity safety feature so that installers cannot tighten a negative terminal onto a positive battery post and cause serious damage to vehicle electronics.

Using cross dowels that can be replaced on the fly created just that. Solid brass pins are inserted through the bottom of the UBT-840, should the installer cross thread or over tighten, these pins are easily removed and the terminal safely restored to functional in seconds. Patent Pending Reversible Cross Dowel Clamp

Attaching the Ultimate Battery Terminal v2 to a recessed battery post is no longer a challenge thanks to our new patent pending clamp screw design. The clamping mechanism can be accessed from the front or rear face of the UBT-20. Installers simply need to arrange the interchangeable brass dowels within the UBT-20 according to application.

Optional Hardware

The UBT-20 allows several optional configurations using the following additional hardware (sold separate)

  • Top Post Adapters(TPA) – Sold Individually, our TPAs allows for the side terminal output to connect your OEM battery cabling directly to the UBT-20 without any cutting to your factory harness. Simply rotate the battery cable 90 degrees and secure to the UBT-20
  • Vertical Top Post Adapter(VTPA) – Sold as a positive and negative pair the VTPA’s maintain your factory battery cable’s orientation directly on top of the car’s battery. This is perfect if you have a fuse built into the cable or a larger harness that can not rotate or bend.
  • Set Screw Ring Terminals – Need another large gauge output? Easily add any gauge wire to your battery utilizing the ring terminal port option.

  • How is wire secured to this battery terminal?

    Unscrew the allen screw from the bottom of the battery terminal; strip the jacket off of the cable; insert the bare wire into the battery terminal; tighten the set screw into the terminal, compressing the bare strands of the cable. If using the insulated color coded cover, you will need to thread the cables through the cover’s rear opening. This hood protects the exposed area of the cable at the connection point.

  • Is there a difference between the Positive and Negative top post terminals?

    Yes, the Negative top post terminal’s opening is smaller in diameter so that it can not be mounted on the positive battery post and cause a reverse in polarity within the vehicle..

  • How can I connect 2 Gauge wire with these terminals?

    The 0 Gauge port or ring terminal port can be used with a 2 gauge cable as well

  • Can I purchase additional cross dowels for this model?

    Yes, additional cross dowels are available for purchase. They are $0.99 each
