Frequent questions

  • How is wire secured to this terminal?

Unscrew the allen screw from the terminal; strip the jacket off of the cable; insert the bare wire into the terminal; tighten the set screw into the terminal, compressing the bare strands of the cable.

  • Is there a difference between 0 gauge and 1/0 gauge?

0 gauge and 1/0 gauge are the same thing. 1/0 (one aught) literally means one 0 gauge and written as 1/0. The next step larger would be double aught (2/0). The next smaller in the American Wire Gauge chart would then be 1 gauge.

  • My amplifier accepts 4 gauge, will this fit?

No, this is gauge reducer is meant to step down 2/0 – 4/0 (00-0000) gauge wire to a 1/0 input. This terminal is for very LARGE wire. If you amp accepts 4 gauge you will need our 4 gauge reducer
